Hachi? This is Nana. Nana Osaki. I know, what a suprise, huh? The queen Nana Osaki, taking the time out her day to write her loyal dog a letter. I read your letters that you sent me. All of them. I read them over and over again, hoping to find a way to write back to you without hurting  your feelings. And because I love how you draw those cute characters in the bottom left-hand corner. You always did stuff like that; it was always really cute. Hachi Nana, only time will tell until I decide to lose my pride and come back to Tokyo... Every one thinks that I'm at the bottom of the ocean. Well, one day I'll come back and prove them wrong.

Hey Nana, do you remember the first time we met? On that train ride that lasted for hours but seemed to go by quickly? I remember. Ever since you left, I dreamed that we'd be reunited after so long... Once again on that train, but this time you do the talking instead of me and I'll just sit back and listen. Even if you never respond to my letters, I always feel so happy with the thought of you taking your time to read it! Now that Satsuki is older and in middle school, I always tell her the fun times we had, the stories we shared, the kind of connection we both experienced with each other; Satsuki says that she wants to have someone like

"Hachi, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I left you when you needed me, I left you when I needed you. I have to stop running away from my feelings. Hachi, I promised you I'd make your dreams come true, but it wasn't me who did it, it was Takumi." Nana starts to cry on her bed while holding the letter. "After I lost Ren it was SO hard for me, I lost touch with reality. I was alone again just like when my mother left and when my grandmother died... All I could think was, why Ren left me and if it was my fault." Nana then reflects on her times with Hachi and questions if she should write back -----------------------------TIME SKIP-----------------------

Hey Nana, times sure have changed, it's been 8 years since I last spoke to you... Satsuki is doing okay and so is Ren, we heard you're living in the UK and doing shows in a local pub! That must be fun, with all the new people you're meeting and now you're living your dream! Yasu,Shin, and Nobou are doing great, Yasu has grown quite attached to Satsuki and so has Nobu! Shin has finally turned into quite the young man, I haven't heard from Takumi, Reira or Naoki but I hope they're okay. Junko and Sousuke finally tied the knot and are happily married
